The Author's Thoughts on the Book: This is one of my most personal novels. I poured my entire soul into it, and if I never wrote anything else, that would be fine because this novel completely defines me. I hope to evoke a genuine emotional response in the reader; I certainly shook myself to the core while writing it.

After a global pandemic, the father and son attempt to reach a cabin where Kyle spent his childhood summers. It is the only place the desperate father believes will keep them safe. However, their journey to the refuge unveils a harrowing secret.
